Former Assemblyman and co-recipient of the Profiles in Courage Award
along with Darrel Steinberg and two other Legislative Leaders in 2010.
I have known and worked with Darrell for many years. Even though we don't always agree on issues and we are from different parties, Darrell has always been an individual who seeks to forge compromise and truly seek solutions rather than politics.
I have always respected his deep desire to be a public servant who seeks to help those who are often times marginalized and his work in mental health issues is a good example of that. I think Darrell will put people first and that is what we need in our elected leaders today.
